After receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Performance in Contemporary Popular Music from Academia de Música Fermatta, he quickly followed that up with an AS Degree in Recording Arts from Full Sail University, where he was awarded the Advanced Achievement Award. It was during this time that he worked with artists such as Will Lee, Joan Osborne, Regina Spektor, Richard Bona, John Scofield, Bill Stewart, Jojo Mayer, Antonio Sánchez, Nas, to name a few.
In 2009 he moved back to Mexico to work full time with the funk band Fiusha, with whom he produced 4 albums and 1 EP, as well as toured several festivals where they shared the stage with artists such as Chaka Khan, Blood, Sweat & Tears, Antonio Sánchez, Screaming Headless Torsos, Groove Collective, to name a few.
